Renown
Renown records learning and completed requests. Speak with the Loremaster in an elven village to see your rank and progress. It does not replace Harmony: better stock needs Renown, while access and prices also depend on Harmony.
Renown ranks
Stock builds on earlier ranks. Open the profession stock reference to compare the minimum rank of each offer.
| Renown points | Rank | Stock unlocked |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | Stranger | Starting profession stock |
| 3 | Welcome | Adds Welcome offers in the stock tables |
| 8 | Trusted | Adds Trusted offers in the stock tables |
| 15 | Elf-friend | Adds final equipment when Harmony is also Friend |
Earning Renown
Task lessons award 1 Renown at turn-in. Reading a lore lesson awards 0; completing a profession request awards 2. Completing all seven task lessons and all twelve requests provides 31 points. Neither trading nor merely holding the requested items awards Renown.
Accept a task before its deed, then return to the Loremaster for lesson turn-in. For requests, use the handover rules to find the right trader. Each request shares your single task slot with lessons.
Using your rank
Trading lists each profession’s stock, prices and required rank. Guest or Friend Harmony allows your Renown stock; Uneasy limits you to Stranger stock, and Shunned or Hated prevents trading. Recover Harmony to restore access. Final equipment requires both Elf-friend Renown and Friend Harmony.
